Moving to Jamaica is a big decision. There’s a lot to think about, a lot to plan, and sometimes a lot to figure out on your own.
Rooted Together is a space for Black women who are thinking about moving to Jamaica and want to start building community before they arrive.
We meet every Sunday at 6PM Jamaica time on video to talk, ask questions, share experiences, and get to know each other. Most of our conversations naturally come back to Jamaica, but we talk about plenty of other things too.
Because sometimes you don't need another checklist or another Facebook group. You just want to talk to someone who gets why you're considering this move in the first place.

To help ensure we can foster an intimate, safe space for all members, we ask that you turn your camera on for at least the first few meetings.
Rooted Together was created to build community with like-minded Black women, and it’s much easier to build that connection when we can see each other’s faces.
All members have their cameras on, so if you’re hoping to really connect and make friends, we definitely recommend showing up when you can.
Rooted Together is $15 USD per month.
There isn’t a long-term commitment. You can stay for as long as the community is useful to you and cancel whenever you decide it’s no longer the right fit.
Usually about an hour to an hour and a half.
You’re welcome to stay for the entire conversation, but you can also pop in late or leave early if you have somewhere else to be.

We know that life happens. You’re welcome to join when you can, and there’s no expectation that you attend every single week if you don’t want to.
